About the Winery

In the 1980s, shortly after Saint-Chinian's promotion to AOP status, Jacques Belot, a schoolteacher, created a vineyard from scratch, clearing land and planting noble grape varieties. Lionel, who succeeded him in 1997, acquired a former 17th-century royal hunting lodge to expand his domaine and install his cellar, a property said to have hosted Louis XIV. He today cultivates 36 hectares in Saint-Chinian, Languedoc, and IGP. The estate has been engaged in organic conversion since 2020, with wines officially labeled Organic from the 2023 vintage.

A 36-hectare estate created in the 1980s by a schoolteacher in Saint-Chinian, now certified organic since 2023.
