Domaine Carrière-Audier
About the Winery
This 60-hectare family domaine (25 in IGP, 30 in Saint-Chinian) is located in one of the most touristic spots of the appellation: Vieussan, a village on a hillside overlooking terraced vineyards above the Orb River. The Audier family has owned it for five generations. It all started in 1910 with Félicien and Fernande who worked 6 hectares. The schist soil makes aromatic white wines and distinctive reds from classic grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The estate practices reasoned agriculture to reinforce positive impacts on the environment.
“A five-generation, 60-hectare family estate in Vieussan, Saint-Chinian, overlooking the Orb River on schist soils.”
