About the Winery
A domaine of 50 hectares founded in 1862 on the second and third terraces of the Lot. A Latin manuscript from 1456 shows that the Burc family were already landowners around Cahors at that time. Today, the fifth and sixth generations work together, with Anne and Emmanuelle Burc having joined their father Jean-Luc. The estate produces regular, quality Cahors wines and has engaged in organic conversion. The wines are made primarily from Malbec (Côt) with some Merlot, aged in oak barrels.
“A 50-hectare Cahors estate founded in 1862 on the Lot terraces, with six generations of the Burc family, now in organic conversion.”
