About the Winery

Château de la Varière is a vast Angevin domaine of 150 hectares on the commune of Vauchrétien, surrounded by its vineyard divided into plots of different soil types and quality. The production of reds and sweet wines is complemented by wines from its sister property in Saumur-Champigny, Domaine de la Perruche (40 hectares). The entire property came under the control of Maison Ackerman in 2015. The estate offers tours and tastings, showcasing the diversity of Anjou terroirs through its range of wines.
