About the Winery
This former ecclesiastical domaine became a Charentaise farm with a typical enclosed courtyard and porch, extending its 33-hectare vineyard near Saint-Jean-d'Angély on shallow, drying 'groies' soils. Direct sales of Pineau and Cognac began in 1999 with Thierry and Olivier Madé, who have been established since 1992. The estate produces Pineau des Charentes and Cognac, continuing the rich tradition of Charentais viticulture.
