Domaine du Vignaret
About the Winery
After having vinified wines at prestigious estates in Provence like Château de Galoupet, then worked in phytosanitary product distribution and as an oenologist-consultant, Roger Tourrel and his wife Bernadette took over the family vines in 1996. Since building the cellar in 2008, they have been crafting their own cuvées from their 26 hectares, mainly in the Coteaux-Varois appellation. The vineyard is spread over 9 parcels across several communes in the Vallée de l'Issole, with both Côtes de Provence and Coteaux Varois en Provence classifications. The Tourrel family has cultivated the vineyard for several generations with a real environmental respect, using sustainable methods with plant compost preferred to chemical fertilizers.
“A 26-hectare family estate in the Coteaux Varois, where Roger and Bernadette Tourrel craft wines from vineyards spread over 9 parcels.”
