Domaine du Haut Fresne
About the Winery
Founded in 1959, Domaine du Haut Fresne is a family business spanning three generations. Situated on hillsides facing the Loire near Liré, the estate covers approximately 90 hectares of vines across the communes of Drain, Liré, Bouzillé, and St Géréon. The Renou brothers have built a reputation for the quality of their wines, particularly their Coteaux-d'Ancenis. Located at the crossroads of the Anjou, Pays Nantais, and Coteaux d'Ancenis appellation areas, the domaine offers a wide range of wines including AOC Coteaux d'Ancenis (red, Rose, white), AOC Muscadet Coteaux de la Loire, AOC Anjou, and AOC Crémant de Loire. A particular favorite is their Cru communal Champtoceaux, a Muscadet aged 36 months in vats.
“A three-generation family estate of 90 hectares on Loire hillsides, renowned for Coteaux-d'Ancenis wines at the crossroads of Anjou and Pays Nantais.”
