About the Winery

The terroir of Clos de la Bierle has been renowned since the 1890s. The owner of the time, a doctor, had developed a light and fruity beverage based on fermented grapes that he sold against anxiety and the 'darkness of the mind.' He died without heir, and the Clos was left fallow until Thierry Troccon purchased it in 1987. The estate produces wines from the Savoie region, continuing the tradition of this historic vineyard site.
