Domaine Chatellier
About the Winery
A family property of 17 hectares, operated for seven generations - today represented by Mathilde - Domaine Chatellier is devoted to Melon de Bourgogne planted on granitic soils. The wines are aged on lees in underground glass vats, as tradition dictates. The domaine also produces a cuvée from the Clisson cru, on 1 hectare. The estate is located in the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation of the Loire Valley, producing wines that express the unique granitic terroir of the region.
“A 17-hectare family estate for seven generations, devoted to Melon de Bourgogne on granitic soils in Muscadet, with traditional underground glass vat aging.”
