Château Poulvère
About the Winery
Formerly a dependency of Château de Monbazillac, Château Poulvère dates from the same era (16th century). It has been operated for over 100 years by the Borderie family, who still work as a family: Francis manages the vineyard (104 ha) since 1977, supported by his nephews Frédéric (at the cellar) and Benoît (commercial), joined in 2018 by Paul and Anaïs, children of Frédéric. The vineyard covers 105 hectares across 6 major appellations of the region: Bergerac Rouge, Rose and Sec, Côtes de Bergerac Blanc, Monbazillac, and Pécharmant. The estate is labeled Haute Valeur Environnementale and is a Vigneron Indépendant member.
“A historic Bergerac estate of 105 hectares operated by the Borderie family for over 100 years across six appellations, certified HVE.”
