Domaine la Croix des Marchands

About the Winery

Montans, near Gaillac, was home in Antiquity to multiple amphora workshops stamped with the village's seal. It is here that the Bézios, father and son, have managed Domaine de la Croix des Marchands and its 30 hectares of vines since 1971. Since 1999, they also own Château Palvié, located at Cahuzac-sur-Vère (20 ha). The domaine is certified Haute Valeur Environnementale and Terra Vitis. The estate produces a full range of Gaillac wines: red, white, Rose, sweet, sparkling (méthode ancestrale), and primeur wines from indigenous varieties like Mauzac, Loin de l'oeil, Duras, Braucol, and Prunelard. Guided visits are available by reservation.
