About the Winery

In 1991, Frédéric Boudat and his wife Françoise Cigana abandoned their medical profession to take over the Cigana family vines. They built a cellar in 1998 and expanded the vineyard. Today, Vignobles Boudat-Cigana totals 160-180 hectares, based in Entre-deux-Mers at Château de Viaut. The estate produces Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, and Graves, with brands including Château de Viaut, Château Fernon-Dumez, Château Haut-Gramon, Château Lamarque, and Château Morange. The estate acquired HVE 3 (High Environmental Value) certification in 2020, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship.

A family estate founded in 1845, now with 160-180 hectares in Entre-deux-Mers producing multiple Bordeaux appellations, certified HVE 3.
