About the Winery
Domaine du Clos de l'Épinay dominates the Vouvray plateau in a privileged situation. The house built in 1702 is surrounded by century-old trees and has housed the family since 1966. The domaine covers 20 hectares, producing white wines from 100% Chenin Blanc in the Vouvray AOC, including dry, semi-dry, and sweet still wines as well as traditional method sparkling wines. The estate is certified Terra Vitis and HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale). Luc Dumange, an independent winegrower since 1998, runs the domaine with his wife Marie-Claire. Their daughter Pauline has been working at the family estate since 2015. The estate also has 1 hectare of red grape varieties for Rose production and offers bed and breakfast accommodation.
“A 20-hectare estate on the Vouvray plateau, in the family since 1966, certified Terra Vitis and HVE, producing Chenin Blanc wines in all styles.”
