Château le Grand Verdus
About the Winery
A Renaissance manor acquired in 1810 by Claude Deschamps, architect of the Pont de Pierre in Bordeaux, and transmitted by marriage to the Le Grix de la Salle family. Today Antoine and his eldest son Thomas lead the Grand Verdus, a vast unit of 115 hectares in Entre-deux-Mers, in organic agriculture (certified from the 2023 vintage). The estate also produces wines under the Château La Loubière label. The wines of Château le Grand Verdus are known for their quality and commitment to sustainable viticulture, producing white, red, and Rose wines from the Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations.
“A Renaissance manor in Entre-deux-Mers, now a 115-hectare estate led by Antoine and Thomas Le Grix de la Salle, certified organic from 2023.”
