Domaine Rolet

11 rue de l'Hôtel de Ville, 39600 Arbois, France

About the Winery

A domain created by Désiré Rolet in the 1940s, then managed by his children for many years before being sold to the Devillard family in 2018. The Burgundians thus invested in this top-tier domaine, today still one of the most important operations in the Jura, across the appellations Arbois, Côtes-du-Jura, L'Étoile, and Château-Chalon. The estate spans 65 hectares across four Jura appellations, cultivating classic Jura varieties: Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir. The domaine is in conversion to organic agriculture. Each vine is planted on the soil best matched to the specific grape variety. The estate produces Crémants du Jura, Vin Jaune, and a wide range of red and white wines. Two cellars for aging Savagnin under voile: one cooler 14th-century cellar that brings out mineral character, and one drier and warmer cellar encouraging a richer style.

An iconic Jura estate founded in 1942, spanning 65 hectares across Arbois, Côtes du Jura, L'Étoile and Château-Chalon, now converting to organic farming.
