About the Winery
Founded in 1947 by Albert Baron, the house was taken over in 1972 by his son Claude, now assisted by his three daughters Claire, Aline, and Lise (the latter two are oenologists). This négociant has an important vineyard of 55 hectares in the Marne Valley around Château-Thierry. The champagnes crafted by Lise Baron cultivate freshness. Four brands are produced: Baron Albert, Claude Baron, Jean de La Fontaine, and Eugénie Bézard. The estate holds HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne certifications.
“Founded in 1947, Champagne Baron Albert covers 55 hectares in the Marne Valley, now led by the Baron sisters Claire, Aline, and Lise with an emphasis on freshness.”
