Domaine la Croix Chaptal
About the Winery
Created in the 9th century by the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Gellone, this domaine is divided between 11 hectares of woods and 25 hectares of vines. It was revived after its purchase in 1999 by Charles-Walter Pacaud, who had discovered it during his viticulture and oenology studies in Montpellier. The estate is located in the Languedoc region, producing wines that reflect the region's Mediterranean climate and diverse terroirs.
“A historic estate founded by Benedictine monks in the 9th century, with 25 hectares of vines in the Languedoc, revived by Charles-Walter Pacaud since 1999.”
