Château Lancyre
About the Winery
Régis Valentin, an oenologist and cellar master, took over in 2001 the estate created in 1960 by the Durand-Valentin families. The estate produces wines from 80 hectares of vines (converted to organic farming in 2023) on a beautiful terroir of hard limestone and red clay. The wines include Pic Saint-Loup and other Languedoc appellations. Château Lancyre is considered a safe bet of the Languedoc, producing wines of consistent quality that reflect the unique terroir of this elevated area northwest of Montpellier.
“Led by oenologist Régis Valentin since 2001, Château Lancyre covers 80 hectares on limestone and red clay terroir, now certified organic, in the Pic Saint-Loup area.”
