About the Winery

Founded in 1937, the Cave de Saint-Chinian is a cooperative in the heart of the village. Today it unites 100 member winegrowers cultivating 750 hectares, making it the leading producer of Saint-Chinian wines. The cooperative's motto is 'Much more than just terroir.' Annual production is 3.5 million bottles, with two-thirds Saint-Chinian AOP and one-third IGP wines. The cooperative is known for its innovative 'Art en Cave' concept since 2013, where renowned contemporary artists create large-scale murals on tank walls, transforming the production space into an immersive art gallery. The cooperative manages vineyards on clay-limestone soils, schist, and sandstone at altitudes between 120 and 300 meters.
