Château Pédesclaux
About the Winery
Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti sold their Foncia real estate network to acquire this château in 2009 from the Jugla family. Founded in 1810, the estate's classification dates back to the 1855 classification. They undertook extensive work in the vineyard and cellar, including construction of a new winery designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Today, the vineyard covers approximately 50 hectares after the acquisition of new parcels. The estate produces Pauillac wines that reflect the power and elegance of this great Left Bank terroir, known for its gravelly soils ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon.
