Domaine henri Klée
About the Winery
The Klée family has been winegrowers in Katzenthal since 1624, when Urbain Klée acquired the first vines. Twelve generations have succeeded each other since then. Henri Klée launched into direct sales in the mid-20th century, and Philippe succeeded him in 1985. Since 2016, Martin has joined Philippe to prepare for the next generation. The domaine covers 14 hectares around Katzenthal, west of Colmar, with several parcels in the Grand Cru Wineck-Schlossberg. A new winery was built in 2013, and the estate also offers accommodation. The property is certified HVE 3 (High Environmental Value). The domaine is well-known for its complete range of Alsace wines including whites, reds, sparkling Crémants, and sweet wines (Late Harvest and Selection of Noble Grapes). The estate also has a distillation activity producing marcs and fruit eaux-de-vie.
