About the Winery

The name 'Bouquerries' recalls that goats and bucks were once slaughtered on this site. The domaine's story began in 1935 when the grandfather of Guillaume and Jérôme Sourdais dug the caves for this 31-hectare exploitation situated on the banks of the Vienne River, in the Chinon appellation of the Loire Valley. After the passing of his brother, Jérôme Sourdais continues the adventure alone. The estate is recognized as one of the good references of the Chinonais, producing characterful wines from Cabernet Franc on the limestone and clay soils of the region.

A family estate since 1935 on the banks of the Vienne River, Earl des Bouquerries is recognized as one of the leading references in the Chinon appellation.
