About the Winery
Well known for its Saint-Amour and Juliénas wines, this domaine is installed in a former post relay with a vaulted cellar dating from 1399. It was founded in 1946 by André Poitevin. In 1995, his son-in-law Jean-Yves Midey, a former chef, took over with his wife Marie-Hélène, and expanded the estate from 4 to 8.5 hectares. The estate produces wines from four Beaujolais crus: Saint-Amour, Juliénas, Chénas, and Moulin-à-Vent, all from the Gamay grape variety grown on the region's granitic soils.
“A domaine in a former post relay with a 1399 vaulted cellar, producing Saint-Amour and Juliénas since 1946.”
