About the Winery
The domaine's history began in 1905 with great-great-grandfather Eugène Poussard, who settled with a few ares of vines in Pérignac, in the Cognac-Pons-Saintes triangle, at the heart of Romanesque Saintonge. He developed the Guyot Poussard pruning system, effective for preventing wood diseases. Direct sales of Cognac and Pineau began in 1978. Today, Thierry and Jérémy (fifth generation) manage a 35-hectare vineyard in Petite and Grande Champagnes, continuing the family tradition of producing high-quality Cognac and Pineau des Charentes.
“Five generations of Cognac and Pineau production in Pérignac since 1905, with 35 hectares in Grande and Petite Champagne.”
