Domaine jean-louis et jean-christophe Bersan
About the Winery
The Bersan family has been in Saint-Bris for several generations. Founded in 2009 after a family division, the domaine of Jean-Louis and Jean-Christophe covers 22 hectares spread over the communes of Chablis, Irancy, and Saint-Bris, operated organically from its creation (certified since 2012). The family grows vines combining traditional methods with modern techniques. The harvest from their 22 hectares is vinified in a modern cellar, while wines from their oldest vines are matured in oak barrels in 11th and 12th century cellars located in the heart of the village. These cellars are linked to a network of underground passages built by Templar monks. The domaine produces Chablis, Saint-Bris (Sauvignon Blanc), Irancy (Pinot Noir), Bourgogne Côtes d'Auxerre, Crémant de Bourgogne, and more.
“Organic Burgundy estate with 22 hectares and medieval 11th-12th century cellars linked to Templar monk passages.”
