Corsican Groupe UVAL
About the Winery
The Union des Vignerons Associés du Levant (UVAL) is the commercial structure for the wines of the Cave Coopérative de la Marana, a producer grouping founded in 1975 and established in Borgo, south of Bastia. The cooperative brings together approximately 900 hectares of vines and about sixty winegrowers spread across the eastern coast of Corsica (1,300 hectares vinified in total). It offers branded wines and also vinifies for several private domaines. The cooperative is a major player in Corsican wine production, offering a wide range of wines that express the island's unique terroir and grape varieties including Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu, and Vermentino.
“A cooperative uniting 900 hectares and 60 winegrowers on Corsica's eastern coast since 1975.”
