About the Winery

André Perret, originally a biologist, succeeded his father in 1985 at the head of a small 1.5-hectare vineyard at the lieu-dit Verlieu in Chavanay, at a time when Georges Vernay and a few others were reviving the Condrieu appellation. Over the years, he expanded the estate through purchases, leases, and new plantings to reach approximately 13 hectares of steep terraced slopes on the right bank of the Rhône. The domaine benefits from the best climates of the appellation, producing exceptional white wines from Condrieu and Saint-Joseph. André Perret is considered one of the masters of the Condrieu appellation and the Viognier grape. His daughter Marie joined the estate in 2019 after completing her agricultural engineering studies and is gradually taking the reins with her father's guidance. The estate produces approximately 60,000 bottles annually.
