About the Winery

Domaine Maynadier is a historic family winery in Fitou, Languedoc, acquired by the family in 1697. The estate was originally a former coach house and has always produced Fitou wine. Located in the Fitou appellation, the first red wine AOC of Languedoc-Roussillon established in 1948, the domaine benefits from a hot, dry Mediterranean climate with vineyards flooded by sunshine and swept by winds. Fitou wines are made primarily from Carignan noir and Grenache noir, with Syrah and Mourvèdre completing the blends. The domaine has been run without weedkillers for over 10 years, respecting the land to guarantee a future for the next generations. The wines are powerful and aromatic, with body and perfume that characterize the greatest wines of the region.
