Château Marquis d'Alesme
About the Winery
Château Marquis d'Alesme is a Third Growth (3ème Cru Classé) estate in Margaux, Bordeaux, with a history dating back to 1585. The Perédo family acquired the estate in 2006 and has since invested heavily in modernizing the cellars and elevating the quality of the wines. The estate covers 15 hectares of vineyards in the Margaux appellation, planted on the famous gravelly soils known as graves. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The estate produces wines of great elegance and finesse, characteristic of the Margaux terroir, with floral aromas, silky tannins, and remarkable balance. The wines have received high scores from international critics, cementing the estate's reputation as one of the leading châteaux in Margaux.
