Domaine Grand Nicolet
About the Winery
Domaine Grand Nicolet is a historic family estate in Rasteau, in the southern Rhône Valley. The domaine has been passed down through multiple generations and is now managed by three siblings: Céline, Bernard, and David Nicolet. The estate covers approximately 70 hectares of vineyards planted on the famous blue clay and galets roulés soils of Rasteau, at altitudes ranging from 120 to 250 meters. The vineyards include some parcels of very old vines, some over 90 years in age, producing concentrated, complex wines. The domaine is certified organic and produces AOC Rasteau (red and Vin Doux Naturel), Côtes du Rhône Villages, and IGP wines. Their wines are known for their power, elegance, and ability to express the unique terroir of Rasteau.
“A multi-generation family estate of 70 hectares in Rasteau, certified organic, with vineyards up to 90+ years old.”
