About the Winery

Château Wagenbourg is a historic estate in Soultzmatt, in the Vallée Noble of southern Alsace. The family Klein has owned the property since 1905, making it the last remaining of the seven castles that once guarded the valley. The estate covers 11.5 hectares of vineyards spread across Soultzmatt, Westhalten, and Rouffach, including vines in the prestigious Zinnkoepflé Grand Cru. The domaine is now managed by Mireille and Jacky Klein, joined by their son Jean-Nicolas in 2020. Certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale), the estate produces a wide range of wines including Alsace classics, Grand Cru wines, late harvest selections, and Crémant d'Alsace. The wines are known for their elegance, complexity, and expression of the terroir's argilo-calcaire soils.

The last surviving castle of the Vallée Noble, producing wines from 11.5 hectares including Grand Cru Zinnkoepflé since 1905.
