Earl domaine denis Carré
About the Winery
Domaine Denis Carré is a family estate founded in 1975 in Meloisey, in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune region of Burgundy. Denis Carré started with a single hectare and gradually expanded the domaine to 14 hectares, acquiring parcels in prestigious appellations including Meursault, Pommard, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Beaune Premier Cru. Today, the estate is run by Denis's children, Martial and Gaëtane Carré, who took over in 2008. Both studied winemaking in Dijon and have introduced organic practices in the vineyard, with the estate in conversion to organic farming since 2020. The domaine produces approximately 6,000 cases annually, crafting wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a focus on freshness, approachability, and terroir expression. New oak is carefully restrained, with top wines aged in a maximum of 25% new barrels.
“A family estate in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune producing elegant wines from Meursault to Pommard, now in conversion to organic farming.”
