About the Winery

The Koehler family has been winegrowers since 1621 in the village of Westhalten, at the entrance to the Vallée Noble, one of Alsace's most beautiful terroirs. Jean-Claude Koehler took over from his father in 1966 and gave his name to the domaine. Since 1999, their son Christian and his wife Frédérique have managed the estate, cultivating nearly 9 hectares of vines spread across three communes: Westhalten, Soultzmatt, and Rouffach, including parcels in the Grand Cru Zinnkoepflé. The estate obtained HVE (High Environmental Value) certification in 2019, recognizing their commitment to biodiversity and environmental stewardship.
