About the Winery
Castel la Pèze traces its origins to 1727 when Raymond de la Pèze exported sweet white wines to Holland. The property entered the family in 1850 with 4 hectares. Patrick Daniel took over in 1993 and has gradually expanded the vineyard to 50 hectares, with his son Anthony joining in 2021. The estate produces Bergerac, Côtes-de-Bergerac, and Monbazillac wines from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon for reds and Sémillon, Sauvignon, Muscadelle for whites. The property has been HVE certified for several years and their wines are regularly awarded at competitions.
