About the Winery

Domaine Pierre Prieur & Fils is a multi-generational family wine estate located in Verdigny in the Sancerre appellation of the Loire Valley. The domaine's history stretches back eleven generations of Prieur family winegrowers, cultivating vines on celebrated terroirs such as Les Monts Damnés, Les Bouffants, and Le Chêne Marchand. Brothers Thierry and Bruno Prieur, joined by Sébastien (Bruno's son), manage 19 hectares spread across different Sancerre terroirs including Terres Blanches (clay-limestone), Caillottes (stony limestone), and Silex (flint), each contributing distinct flavor nuances. The domaine has been certified High Environmental Value (HVE) since July 2014 and achieved organic certification starting with the 2023 vintage. All grapes are hand-harvested to preserve quality.
