About the Winery

Domaine des Garennes is a family estate established for four generations in Montreuil-Bellay, a small village famous for its château and the remains of its ramparts. Two cousins, Stéphane Mainguin and Fabrice Baron, now head a vineyard covering 49 hectares planted on a unique Jurassic terroir of 10 km² exclusive to the Saumurois. The estate is committed to sustainable viticulture, working daily to respect this terroir known for its great Chenin Blancs and beautiful Cabernet Francs. They produce wines of the Saumur appellation including red, white, and sparkling wines.
