About the Winery
Willy Wurtz et Fils is a family estate established in 1952 in Mittelwihr, in the heart of the Alsace wine region. In 1990, Christian Wurtz took over the family operation. The commune of Mittelwihr is home to the Grand Cru Mandelberg, a well-sheltered and early-ripening terroir where this vigneron cultivates several parcels. The estate produces wines from the classic Alsatian grape varieties including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir, with special attention to the terroir-driven expressions from the Mandelberg Grand Cru.
“A family estate in Mittelwihr since 1952, cultivating parcels in the Grand Cru Mandelberg in the heart of Alsace.”
