Domaine des Forges
About the Winery
Domaine des Forges is a family estate in the heart of Anjou, between the Loire and Layon rivers. The first parcel was acquired in 1890, and the property has been passed down through five generations. The estate covers 50 hectares and is renowned for its sweet wines (liquoreux). In 1996, Stéphane and Séverine Branchereau took over, representing the fifth generation at the helm. The domain produces wines across multiple appellations including Anjou Blanc, Anjou Rouge, Coteaux du Layon, Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru, Crémant de Loire, and Savennières. The growing methods are traditional and applied with respect for nature. The estate also offers a 3-épi rural gîte for up to 10 people.
