About the Winery

Château Valandraud is a Premier Grand Cru Classé B of Saint-Émilion, born in 1991 from the passion of Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud. They purchased a 0.6-hectare parcel in the Fongaban valley and created their first wine in a converted garage, earning the 'garage wine' designation that revolutionized Bordeaux. Today, the estate spans more than 10 hectares on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, with diversified grape varieties and rigorous hand harvesting. Valandraud became Premier Grand Cru Classé B in 2012, a symbol of audacity and excellence. The estate practices environmentally responsible viticulture with ISO 14001 and HVE certifications. The domain also offers accommodation at Le Logis de Valandraud, a 5-star tourist furnished property in a stone house with panoramic vineyard views, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and common areas including a lounge and panoramic terrace.
