About the Winery
Coming from a line of Chinon winemakers, Clothilde Pain first joined the family estate in 2003 before setting up on her own in 2012, managing 8 hectares of vines in Cravant-les-Coteaux and Panzoult. She produces cuvées she describes as 'feminine, bold, and quirky.' The estate achieved organic certification in 2023. Located in the Chinon appellation, the vineyard is planted on the limestone and clay terroirs of the Chinon hillsides above the Vienne river, producing Cabernet Franc red wines with distinctive freshness and elegance.
“An 8-hectare Chinon estate led by Clothilde Pain since 2012, producing organic 'feminine, bold, and quirky' Cabernet Franc wines.”
