About the Winery

An estate located steps away from a Roman oppidum from the 2nd century BC, whose stones were used by previous generations to surround the property. Damien Coste took over from his father Joseph in 1989 and runs the 15-hectare family estate. He gradually withdrew grapes from the cooperative, entirely from 2010. Seeking above all to express terroir, he banned the use of new barrels and engaged the estate in organic conversion. The estate produces Languedoc wines from traditional varieties including Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, with a focus on expressing the limestone and clay terroir of Murviel-lès-Montpellier.
