Domaine michel Noëllat
About the Winery
Created in the 19th century by Félix Noëllat, this family estate in Vosne-Romanée covers 23.5 hectares spread across 26 appellations and over 100 parcels from Marsannay to Pommard. Five generations have succeeded at the head of the operation: Ernest, Henri, Michel (who gave his name to the estate), and now Alain and Jean-Marc's children Sophie and Sébastien. The estate owns parcels in prestigious Grand Crus including Clos de Vougeot and Echezeaux, as well as Premier Crus such as Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots and Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Boudots. In 1980, Michel Noëllat dug an authentic vaulted stone cellar to allow gravity-flow vinification, and in 2009 the estate was equipped with an ultra-modern winery with 40 temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The family is distinguished by a solid entrepreneurial spirit while remaining attached to respect for traditions transmitted from generation to generation.
“A historic 23.5-hectare Burgundy estate with 26 appellations and Grand Cru parcels in Clos de Vougeot and Echezeaux, now in its 5th generation.”
