About the Winery

Louis Trosset, a retired professor of plant biology from the University of Savoie with a passion for botany and geology, operates this estate with his brother. Though winemaking is not his official profession, he exploits a mosaic of small parcels (15 to 45 ares each) facing due south in Arbin, the high terroir of Mondeuse. The estate is an essential reference in Arbin, producing wines from the Mondeuse Noire grape that express the unique schist and glacial moraine soils of the Savoyard hillsides. The wines are known for their depth, peppery character, and aging potential.

An essential Arbin reference produced by a retired plant biology professor, crafting Mondeuse wines from south-facing parcels on schist soils.
