About the Winery

Founded in 1910, the Maury cooperative is the oldest still-active cooperative winery in the Pyrénées-Orientales department. After the viticultural revolts of 1907, it brought together more than 130 property owners. Today, the cooperative draws from 650 hectares belonging to its members and specializes in Grenache, which produces both traditional Vins Doux Naturels and, since 2011, Maury Sec wines. The cooperative is a cornerstone of the Maury appellation, known for its fortified sweet wines made in the oxidative style, as well as the newer dry red Maury Sec style.
