Sas vignobles clément Fayat

30, av. du Ch.-Pichon , 33330 Saint-Émilion France

About the Winery

An old renowned cru, whose name is said to have been given by a wealthy merchant from the 18th century who owned the property and named it after a Caribbean island. The De Baillencourt family, established here since 1933, sold it in 1969 to the powerful industrialist Clément Fayat, who also owns Château Fayat (Pomerol) and Château Clément-Pichon (Haut-Médoc). The 25-hectare vineyard is located northwest of Saint-Émilion, near Pomerol, on beautiful old sandy soils over clay subsoil. A contemporary winery designed by architect Jean Nouvel was inaugurated with the 2013 vintage. The estate is managed by the Fayat family as part of their larger Bordeaux wine portfolio.
