About the Winery

Château Olivier is a Grand Cru Classé de Graves in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, classified for both red and white wines in 1953 and 1959. The property dates back to the Middle Ages when it was inhabited by the d'Olivey family and used as a feudal estate and hunting base. The Bethmann family has owned the estate since 1886. The 230-hectare property includes 60 hectares of vines on gravelly soils over clay and limestone. The red wines blend Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, while the whites blend Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The estate is certified HVE Level 3 and ISO 14001 since 2016.
