About the Winery
In 1969, Maurice Carrère, a former Royal Navy sailor, succeeded his father-in-law Charles Durand on this vineyard created in the 18th century. His daughter Isabelle Carrère, an oenologist, took over in 1997. The 11.5-hectare family domaine is spread over three appellations: Lalande-de-Pomerol, Bordeaux, and Montagne-Saint-Émilion. The estate produces wines that reflect the diversity of the Bordeaux terroirs, with a focus on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
“A family estate since the 18th century in Saint-Denis-de-Piles, with 11.5 hectares across three Bordeaux appellations.”
