About the Winery

Installed in an old house in the historic center of Turckheim, the Baur family - Thomas Baur since 1999 - perpetuates a lineage dating back to 1741. Their 12-hectare vineyard is farmed organically (since 1998) and biodynamically certified (since 2001). The estate produces a range of Alsace wines including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Crémant d'Alsace. The Turckheim terroir is known for its granite and schist soils, which give the wines their distinctive minerality and expression.
