Jean-marie Bechtold

About the Winery

Jean-Marie Bechtold has been at the head of a 12-hectare domaine since 1994, located in the part of the vineyard close to Strasbourg. He first practiced reasoned agriculture before converting the estate to organic farming in 2010. The estate produces Alsace wines from the classic grape varieties of the region, including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone, giving the wines their structure and aging potential.
