Château d' Escurac

17, rte d'Escurac , 33340 Civrac-en-Médoc France

About the Winery

Jean Landureau acquired the property in 1934, transforming it into a stud farm. His son Jean-Michel developed viticulture and delivered grapes to the cooperative until the third generation, Jean-Marc, took over in 1990. After his passing, his daughter Anne took the reins of this quality-focused domaine, now in organic and biodynamic conversion. The estate covers 120 hectares, including 40 hectares of vines, and produces four wines: Château d'Escurac (Médoc Cru Bourgeois), Château Haut-Myles (Médoc Cru Bourgeois), La Chapelle d'Escurac, and Pépin d'Escurac. The vineyard sits on a high hill of gravelly soil over clay subsoil, and features a beautiful 11th-century chapel.

A 120-hectare Médoc estate with 40 hectares of vines, certified organic since 2023, featuring an 11th-century chapel and classified Cru Bourgeois wines.
